Concept

Fragments, his first book, is a collection of photographs that put together, begin to form a larger picture of who he is as an artist.

To extend this idea beyond the photographs, we wanted to show fragments of himself. A visual installation shaping the space. The first magazine cover he ever did. His first Hermès invitation. The music of his childhood. Objects from his homeland. Pieces of a personal story that put together, reveal who he is beyond his work and what inspires him.

We also wanted to explore the idea of fragments through his photographs themselves. Selected images were printed onto ceramic plates, shattered and displayed throughout the exhibition. They offered a physical interpretation of the book’s central theme: individual fragments coming together to form a larger whole.
